A recent survey in the UK by a bakery company indicated that more than 10% of people would avoid asking loved ones to dinner parties, Christmas lunch and even weddings if they have different dietary needs.
About 38% were afraid of making their friends ill, while 37% lacked recipe ideas.
Those of us with special dietary needs don’t want to be cut off from sharing events with family and friends. So we need to change this and there is hope.....
Two thirds of those surveyed (2,067 adults) said guidance from their guests on how best to cater for their dietary needs might give them enough confidence to prepare special means for them.
We need to give people that confidence and make it easy for people to share each other’s company over the same good food.
That is exactly why I set up how2bglutenfree.com. My aim is to provide a one stop shop of information giving first time gluten free cooks as well as experienced gluten free’ers the information they need to enjoy and share great tasting food that just happens to be gluten free.
